About Stow Vets » History

Stow Veterinary Surgeons has been operating in the Cotswolds since the 1820s. Originally we were a farm animal practice, as all practices were in those days.  We are now a genuinely ‘mixed’ practice treating both farm and companion animals.

In 2001, we relocated from our premises in ‘Backwalls’ to our present purpose-built surgery in Maugersbury Road. This has enabled us to greatly increase and improve the service and care we provide to companion animals. We have a large waiting area with four consulting rooms, separate dog kennels and cattery, dental and imaging suites, two dedicated operating theatres and an in-house laboratory.
