Fee Structure
Fee structure
We aim to be as open and transparent as possible about our charges and our charging structure. If you have any queries please do let us know.
As professionals we make charges for giving advice and performing examinations and procedures.
As we cannot know how a problem will progress we are unable to charge a set fee upfront for any particular complaint. This means that re-examination consults are chargeable and not included in the initial consult fee.
If a surgical or investigative procedure is indicated we will provide you with an estimate for that procedure when the procedure is discussed and booked. This will exclude previous charges made and any charges for further advice or procedures that may be required or decided upon following on from that procedure.
Surgical procedures
The fee for a surgical procedure includes two post operative consultations which will be either with a nurse or a vet. Subsequent consultations will be chargeable
Investigative procedures
The fee for investigative procedures (i.e. non surgical) which include such things as radiography, ultrasonography and endoscopy does not include a follow up consultation. Any consultations that follow on from an investigative procedure will be chargeable.
Out of hours consultations and visits during normal hours and out of hours carry an additional charge over the ‘normal’ consultation fee.
If you have any queries about our charges or our charging structure please ask us to clarify.
Consultations
We charge a professional fee for all consultations; initial and subsequent follow up consultations. The reason for this is that we cannot predict how many consultations may be required for a particular condition.
Please note that to allow us time to listen, discuss and explain we have 15 minute consultations instead of 10 minute consultations which is the norm. We find the extra time spent with you and your pet leads to better understanding and results.
